Although author, researcher, reiki teacher and student of life best describe my outer experiences, I am most focused on the inner journey to 'know thyself'. I simply share my insights through teaching and writing to inspire and enrich others. I fell into natural therapies when I broke my two front teeth on a cobblestone footpath whilst travelling in London. Antibiotics didn't work so I used a combination of homeopathy, naturopathy, massage, reiki and meditation for healing. From then on the journey has been like a roller-coaster ride. I learned Reiki for self-healing and ended up studying three Reiki Masters to teach Reiki. I then resigned from a career as a policy advisor after 17 years to teach Reiki courses and ended up writing a book. So I'm not sure where this journey will take me next - but as long as I follow my heart, anything is possible! I now live in Brisbane with my partner Ketub and Starlight the cat, practising a simple, organic life involving daily meditation (Kriya Yoga), self-discovery, yoga, organic gardening, home-cooked meals, and creatively sharing what I learn.
I no longer offer Reiki workshops or private sessions.
I recommend the following Reiki Masters who practise Komyo Reiki: www.carrieblossom.com.au (for workshops and private sessions) www.anitakatajamaki.com.au (for private sessions)

I am a writer and author who is passionate about health, healing and self-discovery as well as inspiring spiritual opulence in the lives of others. Before following my heart and focusing on writing I spent seven years working as a computer programmer and two years as a holistic counsellor and mindfulness therapist. There were two critical experiences during my life that lead to my current path. The first was a virus, which I had for seven months when I was 26, leading me to study and then practice as a therapist. The second occurred when struggling to build my therapy practice I was inspired to co-edit and co-write The Way of the Natural Therapist. The personal stories of experienced natural therapists in the book inspired me to let go of being a conventional therapist and use writing as my tool to facilitate transformation and healing for others. I now see myself as an "Everyday Healer" - healing through everyday actions, conversations and interactions. I lead a very simple life enjoying meditation (Kriya Yoga), writing, reading, poetry, walking, mantra singing, eating fresh whole foods and spending time in the sun with Leisa and Starlight.
